So, OMG. At World's End was absolutely amazing! I won't get in to it all because half of my fl knows how I felt about it and I will spend too long typing about it...And I don't feel like doing that right now. But, yeah, WOW. It was really good. And it got me like really obsessed with PotC again. Well, for the time being.

Another new obsession is my new musical love. ;)
The Strokes. And Julian Casablancas, their lead singer/frontman. (He can be seen in my Default userpic)
I don't know about the rest of you, but I think he's pretty good looking. And although his voice may not be considered "good," it is still unique and I like it. Plus, their songs are really, really, really catchy. My personal favorites are 1) When It Started (from the Spider-Man Inspired Soundtrack), 2) You Only Live Once, and 3) Juicebox. I'm uploading them for anyone who wants them.
But yeah, so anyways. I really kinda like them. They are fun to listen to and it I've been looking for something new to listen to recently. Ever since Grey's Anatomy ended, I'm not getting my steady amount of new songs to listen to. I love Grey's Anatomy because they have tons of good music and it really gets me to listen to different artists instead of the same old groups.

Ok, so anyways, this post of icons is dedicated to the lovely aftereightmints.

It was her birthday recently and she requested some Pirates of the Caribbean icons, so I have made some and more will follow as I have tons of screencaps (I capped both Black Pearl and Chest recently), so yeah.

Before I post these, just beware, the Black Pearl ones are really simple. The Dead Man's Chest icons are probably the best as I didn't stick to my regular style with them. Or in other words, I decided to be creative and not lazy.

Thank you sooooooo much! I'm glad you liked the icons!! I really liked how some of the DMC ones came out, especially the first Jack one and the one with him shooting the bullet at the dynamite. I just happened to get the perfect screencap of that...:)

Plus, I love working with green backgrounds, especially like with PotC and Lost. It's soooo much fun. ;) And I love to make it vibrant and colorful. ;)

But anyways, thank you for your compliments and I'm glad you like the icons! :D

Yay! POTC icons! Love love love em! The colouring in all of them is just gorgeous! From the first, I like no. 3 (aah Jack *swoon*) and 4. From the second I like 2, 3, 18, 20 and 24. And from AWE I like 3, 8 and 11 (I find those pics of Will and Elizabeth soo hard to colourise, but you did them brilliantly!)
And YAY you like the Strokes!! Woohoo. Julian Casblancas is cool, I LOVE his name. You should listen to Reptilia and The End Has No End from their other album. I don't really know much about their latest one. And ooh you should check out this band called the Kooks, they're English and have thick strong accents and they're great :D Hee hee

I LOVE 5 and 6!! For obvious reasons. :) But that's also the moment when Jack's throwing around bits of treasure with his crown and pearls and stuff, which is just beyond awesome. I know these movies too well! But the icons are just fantastic; I love the caps you chose.

DMC
So many pretty colours! I was drawn to 8 and 14 first, the colouring is just really lovely and I love all the red. 11 is just the prettiest thing ever. I didn't notice Will's face until I read down to the bottom. It's so cool. And I adore 21 as well. 23 is just so fantastically creative. And 24! LOVE.

AWE
I really like the lilacy colouring on all these, it suits the images so perfectly. I just love 5 and 10. And 2 is really gorgeous as well! Everything is really creative, I love it.

The Stokes!!! So much love. Julian Casablancas was like the first obsession-thing I had over a male celebrity, I just thought he was so cool. His voice isn't amazing, like you say, but its so unique, especailly when you compare it to some of the 'indie' bands now. Weird fact - my horse is called Jules!! After him and Julie Cooper from the OC. :) Reptilia and 12:51 are my all-time favourite songs.

So yeah, thankyou again for this!! ♥♥♥ Is there anything you'd like me to make icons of in return, because my exams have finished and I'm in an icon sort of mood. :D

Thank you so much for all the lovely comments and detailed descriptions! I'm glad you liked the icons so much. It makes me happy to know that you appreciated them. ;)

As for #11, I wanted to add something more to my icons because they tend to be boring and simple. And then I see these amazing icons that have like 25 pictures in them all blended in in some amazing way and I want to like shoot myself LOL. So, I spent like 30 minutes trying to get Will and the dress and Elizabeth on a 100x100 document and I thought I should probably clarify that the blob in the right-hand corner was actually Will's face. I mean, when you've made, it seems so obvious that it is Will, but when you haven't made it, you're probably like what the heck is that... ;)
But I'm glad you like the icon, it makes me feel that that 30 minutes of experimentation was not wasted. ;) :D

As for The Strokes! You like them too???!!!! That is TOO cool. I'm always like 5 years late on everything. Like, the Strokes have been a popular band for like a really long time and I only got into them now in 2007. That's probably because I am a teenager and the typical mainstream Fergie and Fall Out Boy type artists are the only people that I hear about. I basically have to go looking for something that no one else listens to to find something that I really like LOL. But that's so cool that Julian Casablancas was your first guy obsession...I can't remember who mine was...Probably Orlando Bloom or something like that. I don't remember. But yeah, as you said and I said, Julian's voice is not what you would consider amazing or anything, it's just unique and I love listenening to it. And as you said, it isn't like some of the so-called indie band vocalists that you hear nowadays. What really annoys me is that all bands like Fall Out Boy, Red Jumpsuit Aparatus, etc. have the same sound. All their lead singers have the same sounding voice! It's like they have to sing that style of music if their voice sounds a certain way.

But anyways, I love Reptilia and the music video for 12:51 is awesome. Julian looks pretty out of it throughout the whole video but he still looks good and I love the Tron theme...I remember watching that with my brother in like 6th grade or something and thinking it was really boring.

Ok, enough of my rambling on. ;)
If you really wanted to make me some icons, I wouldn't mind some Strokes icons or Pirates icons, since your header and that Jack icon that you use are absolutely amazing. ;)

OMG. You like The Strokes too??? We must have like really similar tastes in music because I tend to like all the same music that you liked before me...LOL.
But yeah. My brother had the Spider-Man soundtrack and one day he played "When It Started" by the Strokes and I absolutely loved it. And I've listened to it more than anything right now (Keane used to have the most but then I got a new version of Windows Media Player and it messed up all my play counts...). So then, I decided to check out the Strokes because I liked a song by them to an unhealthy degree...So yeah. There's my story. ;)

I like all of them. Not so much Lily Allen, I only like two songs by her. But yeah...

I'll definitely check out those bands though. :D Oh, and are there any specific songs that I should check out from each one?
Btw, is Jarvis Cocker the one who sings those songs from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire at the Yule Ball???

Omg. You've seen almost all of them live???? You're way too lucky. I was going to see my first concert which would've been Keane, but then Tom Chaplin had to do some stupid things...etc. And I think you know the rest of how my opinion of him slowly declined. And now I'm not obsessed with Keane anymore, I still like their music, but yeah.

As for the rest of the music, I will definitely check out those songs! Thanks for the recommendations! :D :D :D

Heh. I have this thing where I go to concerts and just never write about it in LJ anymore. I went to see Kaiser Chiefs on Thursday and Mika on Friday. :DDDDD

I know about Tom. I didn't know what to think when it first happened, but then again. I don't know, I think I have been a fan for some time now I just couldn't turn my back on them. Plus, the one I admire is Tim, and he hasn't done anything to make me stop admiring him. (:

You should, I love music. But most of all, I love telling people about it. I think I might have some of the songs and/or albums, so I could upload them for you if you want. ;p

I love Grace Kelly by Mika. That is an awesome song. All my brothers think it is annoying though... ;)

As for Keane, yeah. Tim and Rich didn't do anything, so I don't mind them. But for me, it is kinda hard to understand why anyone would get involved in drugs and all that stuff and I also despise smoking...So yeah. For one of my like idols to suddenly come out saying "I did all this really dumb stuff" after telling everyone that they are "a clean band" or whatever was kinda like a slap in the face if you know what I mean. I think the part when I find out that a celebrity I really like smokes, it really bothers me. But at least the Strokes don't like lie about their drinking, smoking, etc. And in a recent interview, I think it said that Julian Casablancas doesn't smoke or drink anymore, now that he's married.

But anyways, I would love if you uploaded some of those songs for me. :D That saves me from getting them all on Limewire or elsewhere.

Btw, I'm experimenting with different layouts right now, so yeah... ;)

Good point. Didn't they say "chocolates were their drugs" or something? But I guess anyone can get caught up in drugs. I also dislike smoking, but I can't bring myself to judge them, because after all, i know I might make a huge mistake like that later on. But I understand what you're saying. Oh and just so you know, The Libertines are like, drugs galore. They broke up (although they're back together now?) because Pete Doherty was too much into drugs (he still is) and sometimes didn't show up altogether to their own gigs. But they're lovely lads. And make lovely music. :)

Ok, I'll get on it. Might take a while though...or maybe i'll just find you links from music sharing communities, and that would save us both time. :D

Ahaha, I figured. I saw a purple one, then a red one, and I was like WTF...XDDDD

Yeah, I had heard all this hype about Mika from you and Perez Hilton (gossip blogger) and so I was at Barnes & Nobles and I decided to listen to the CD. And then I was like "this is kinda cool." So I downloaded it and yeah. ;) It's such a fun song! And he must like recognize you, GOSH 3 TIMES! YOU ARE WAY TOO LUCKY. I guess that comes with living in California. I live in Connecticut, near NYC, so I could go to concerts if I wanted to, but I don't have anyone to go with because no one in my family gets as obsessed with music as me and they are not willing to pay to go with me. I got lucky with Keane. ;)

I see what you are saying about not being able to judge them because you might make that same mistake. It is kinda hard to judge them because everyone else in the music industry and stuff does it. The part that really gets me, as I said, though is that they always came off as this clean band, you know? I was like "YAY. It's a nice, good band!" And then like 7 months after I have become an obsessive Keane fan. BAM! "TOM CHAPLIN ADMITS TO SUICIDE THOUGHTS OR WHATVER THE HECK ELSE HE DID." I mean, dude. As I said, it was like a slap in the face.

As for The Libertines. I have heard of them because of Pete Doherty. "Doperty" is what I've heard him called. There was also that whole thing with Kate Moss and how she was doing drugs with him. I'm surprised he hasn't like died yet, from what I've heard.
But a lot of people like their music, so if I like them a lot, I will just have to forget that their lead singer is like a major druggie.
